TRIBE SAYS OUR DANCE PHOTO ALBUM IS OFFENSIVE and that we must be classified as a mature tribe or remove the offensive photos. Take a look and tell me if this is not the most ridiculous thing you have heard.

Question: Why is Tribe's management denying us our freedom of speech and expression instead of defending it in court? I know that we, as a community, would support the defense of our civil rights. I would donate $50 on the spot!

Fri, December 16, 2005 - 4:12 PMum, well, while i'm very much against the changes to tribe, there's nothing in the constitution that guarantees you can say/post what you want on tribe.
we're just "guaranteed" that the government won't punish us for things that aren't "unprotected speech" (e.g. slander, libel, or 'obscenity', whatever that means). -

First the ADS ADS ADS.
Now the everyone can say no approach to censorship. We'll be left with porige for breakfast.
Does anyone know of another tribe like site without ads, without dumb minded censorship?
I was told i was breaking the law by tribe for having my birthday be 5. So now I'm 85 and that seems to be ok. I got an email from our friendly marketing dude what'shisname. I felt like I was being pulled over.
Quick hide the bottle.

Re: TRIBE SAYS OUR DANCE PHOTO ALBUM IS OFFENSIVE
Wed, January 11, 2006 - 9:37 AMFirst of all, the pic is beautiful. That's the problem with cencorship- guidelines for "decency" are often left to those with little vision or flexibility. I *think* tribe is, in terms of "decency" at least, attempting to meet the guidelines set forth in recent government legislation of same. It is all bullshit, folks. Yes, tribe probably has it's own agenda, but the government certainly has its' also. Focus your frustration where it belongs- at the feet of our legislators who bow to the pressure of a few and curtail all our liberties with their stupid attempt to legislate morality. It is an attempt that will untilmately fail, but only if enough people join together to say, "ENOUGH OF THE BS!"
I tend to go to my happy place during these crazy times. When I feel the frustration, I sit and think to myself, "This too shall pass." It's really true. If tribe gets annoying with their ads and cencorship, someone else will create another "community" site. Shit happens, things change, the battle for true freedom continues....forever. I applaud folks getting up in arms a bit. Now, let's just focus and figure out how to make real change. 'Power' not 'Passive', folks.
