Do you want to see HOT?

Come check out our show this weekend, Ultra Gypsy has been up to it again- breaking all the belldance rules with a show that infuses caberet, vaudeville, burlesque, and as always the dark sultry bellydance we're known for!

This one is not to be missed...

Ultra Gypsy Dance Theater Company is back in San Francisco's Studio Z with Undulation 2, two intense nights of hot dance music from five top DJs and even hotter performances by more than thirty of the country's most exciting dancers, all on Rakkasah weekend, March 18th and 19th.

Your hostesses Ultra Gypsy will crown both nights with new works that push belly dance into unexpected realms and the world premiere screening of scenes from their hotly-anticipated trance ritual motion picture: Medusa and Machine.

In addition to Ultra Gypsy, each night's performances will showcase a selection of dance companies handpicked by Ultra Gypsy Artistic Director Jill Parker for their style, skill, and daring.

Friday night will feature headliners Desert Sin out of Los Angeles (www.desertsin.com), California- and Texas-based Tribal Feat (www.tribalfeat.com), San Francisco Turkish dancer Elizabeth Strong, Southern California's DevaDasi (www.devadasi.com) and voted "best Kept Secret" by Zagahreet Magazine, Kassar (www.tribalsource.com) from the East Coast.

Saturday night's lineup includes Belly Dance Superstar guest dancer Kami Liddle (www.kamiliddle.com) from Nevada and the return of 2004 favorites BellyGroove (www.bellygroove.com). They'll be joined by the Whores of Babylon (San Francisco), Phoenix Arizona's Boom Boom Bollywood (www.boomboombollywood.com) and Zagahreet Magazine Troupe of the Year Urban Tribal (www.urbantribaldance.com) out of San Diego.

Leading turntablists DJ Janaka (www.dhamaalsf.com) and DJ Sep (www.dubmissionsf.com) will keep the crowd moving before, between, and after the performances on Friday night, while DJ Amar (www.bansuri.net/solunamar), Seattle's DJ Filastine (www.filastine.com), and Los Angeles DJ El Papachango (www.elcirco.org) lay down the beats on Saturday.

Doors open at 8 pm; after the performances DJs will be spinning until 2 am.

Advance tickets for Undulation 2 are $15 for one night or $24 for both; $18 gets you in at the door. Tickets are available through TicketWeb at www.ultragypsy.com/Undulation2.shtml, and advance reservations are strongly encouraged; this event will sell out.
